Opiates are a great drug to use as an example. As long as you have a constant supply and the money to purchase it you could go the entire rest of your life addicted to them without any negative effects on your body (unlike a lot of other drugs). The problem with them is that as tolerance grows you can no longer afford your addiction. This would not be a problem anymore if you didn't have to pay street prices for them.

Yes, my little old grandma will rush out and buy some Heroin because it just became legal.

Prohibition is the problem, spending a few hours researching will show you just that.

That is a ludicrous argument based entirely on speculation - and the insinuation that anyone here said if people have money, then they can manage their addictions. Only that many who do, can.
