I can recall an article/interview with Digweed in 'Computer Music -Digital DJ Special' magazine back from 2006. It quoted him as saying that he doesn't think vinyl will last another year.
Not only was he wrong, I'm really surprised that it has taken him this long to embrace digital/software based DJing considering that article.

I think the problem is a lot of the time when I'm just playing at home or recording a set (I did the one for your show btw, but it was skipping, v2 tonight ) I'm usually on MSN with Firefox open refreshing shit and downloading porn.

Likewise. The only time I have problems with Traktor skipping/stalling is when the computer is online. I just turn off my wireless switch and problem solved.

Love the video.

I (try to) use Ableton, and it can pretty much do everything he is doing in Traktor. And my mindset is like his. let the music play, and make it special in your own way using loops, effects, etc. Take advantage of what the free time the syncing of the tracks gives you.

Unfortunately, most DJs who use Ableton or Traktor don't take advantage.

Going back to Digweed's going digital, i wonder what his setup is going to look like. It might be possible he may be going Hawtin style on the Xone92 and 1Ds. Cant wait to find out

I use ableton also but going crazy with loops and effects absolutely murders good tracks. Good music is the priority - period.

He's using Traktor Scratch, so he will still use Pioneer CDJ-1000s for the controller CDs and then his preferred standard DJ mixer of choice. it's basically saving him burning CDs.
