it has nothing to do with how shitty the Toronto Scene is....its more to do with maturing then anything else. Everyone will go through this stage...some people will never go clubbing again and some will come back with a new look at clubbing.
When I was about 24 I stopped clubbing for almost three years and one day I just got the urge to go out again. That lasted for about two years and then I stopped again for a year. Then when I was 30 the bug hit me again and now I am tired of it again.

Scott has been introduced to the rave scene, and Ecstasy, by Craig. The two of them go out on the weekends, with some of Craigs friends, and stay up all night, dancing in a drug-fueled trance.

Lately I have lost a lot of interest from the Scene. Not from the music, but rather from the club scene.
A lot of things in the club scene turn mee off now. However, yet I find that I don't feel the same way about outdoor parties... Weird...
How many of you feel the same way of the club scene, but still in love with the music.
What kind of things turn you off from the club scene?
I've been feeling the same sentiments since the beginning of the year I'd say; hence my general absence from the clubs and focus on my own productions.

What ruins it for me is when over half the crowd at a party consists of 19-20 year olds getting bombed and rubbing up against eachother.
I'm totally into low-key parties at smaller venues. I love the local scene in Hamilton and going out to see my friends DJ is where it's at for me right now.
Having said that... Chris Lake at Circa was the best party of the year for me - despite that douche Perez Hilton who attracted all kinds of losers to the club and made a 60 second appearance babbling some nonsense about getting laid tonight.
Just choose wisely - don't go to an event just because everyone else seems to be going. If you love the DJ then no question.
Also... maybe try to find other ways to enjoy your weekend ????

I hear ya on the maturing thing and am astounding by all the breaks you have taken and have still managed to come back all those times.
However, there is definitely an abundance of flak for Toronto's (and even mtl's) scene still included in this thread
