What do you think a message board is supposed to be? A heavily modded, serious environment like a fucking school or something? Heavily regulated boards are pure shit, no one wants to post on them because they aren't interesting or fun.

If people want serious answers, they should ask serious questions. When people write threads saying "tell me all the songs similar to Darude", they deserve everything they get for asking stupid questions. The flaming and attacks on people asking pointless things like this are a direct response to their laziness, and they entertain us...if briefly.

I've posted threads asking for specific genre recommendations in my time, but only when I couldn't find them myself.

Exactly. Self-moderating forums are so much more interesting. They have their own communities, their own little culture, and when you make shit posts you get called out on it.
