That sounds really awesome actually. How was the restaurant?

dinner was great. Tony & Joe's is some of the best seafood i've ever tasted. we got a bottle of pinot noir. i know i know usually you have white with seafood. but trust me when i said pinot noirs are great for seafood too - i dunno what it is. she got the seafood platter and said she loved it - Tony & Joe’s Broiled Platter
taste the bounties of the sea. 3 shrimp, 5 scallops, tilapia filet and a crabcake, marinated and broiled.

i got the boillabaise - Bouillabaisse
an extravagance of Lobster,in the shell mussels, clams and shrimp with scallops and fish, gently simmered in saffron seasoned tomato broth, served with rice.

that was the shit too.

the best part was there was a piano and a drummer jamming light jazzy stuff throughout dinner. it was pretty appropriate. we discussed how sometimes the drummer can drown out a piano but this one was right on point.

we were sitting there chatting about pretty much everything and by the time we knew it - it was 7:50. and the show began at 8. we walked out and she only had this shawl. so i suggested we'd go back to the car and grab my coat. this girl has an amazing body and works out all the time - the drawback is that there's not much fat to protect against the cold. and i was comfortable in my shirt.

so by the time we did all that we got to the kennedy about 8:25 and just walked around on that huge balcony they have staring at the night skyline of DC and the river. the first piece was done at about 8:45 so we had more time to chat.

after intermission was a pretty epic piece. i think it was a Dvorak. in 5 parts - each began very quiet and emotional - but finished epic and dramatic. it was very interesting with influences from all over the place. the last movement even had some middle eastern feel to it - just for a few notes.

on the ride home we listened to josh wink's new cd. i ended up turning it down to background music level because we just continued to talk and talk. i feel like i learned so much about her and i hope she did too - i don't think i'm one to be shy ha ha.

she's amazing tho. plays guitar in a band. very natural. very beautiful. loves music and reads. has opinions. we were discussing what we wanted to do next. so it seems like it might actually work out.

i am pumped about the possibilities. i've been looking for a person like this for a while.

Good for you, mate. Sounds like a nice night. I think I've been to that restaurant for lunch, but only got the maryland crab soup and some crabcakes... will definitely have to go back and try that seafood platter sometime.
