Hatiras won awards and got cred worldwide without any gimmicky marketing tricks or funny hats...before electronic was as commercial and publicized and popular as it is now. I have more respect for that, though I don't argue that deadmau5 has a shittonne of fans too.
One thing I think is important to note about these pics your posting is that it looks like they are from festivals, where the crowd is there for a number of other artists as well. Those people didn't all come for a deadmau5 set exclusively. (but the booking itself is obviously respectable!)
