Excellent thread.
Thanks for the insight, Joel.
Do you find any benefit in going the route of layering a separate wet and dry signal, instead of dropping a verb over the whole sound? (Somewhat similar to doing New York/parallel compression.)

that is exactly what the "mix" knob on a reverb does. so no point in doing it twice.

depends on on how anal you wanna get with the wet signal.... doesnt hurt to send it to a bus or its own channel strip for additional processing on top of the wet signal... mix knob for "yeah im happy" bus out if you wanna do some more tricky things... i.e. gate retriggers on reverbs / high passes on filters / blah blah etc.

my juno 106 & dp4 battery both crapped on me. found some guy who didn't speak english on the interweb to fix it for like $100. then ended up selling the juno once i got that reaktor ensemble lol. the chorus on that thing is amazing but other than that the sounds are good but not great.

nice share, the verb and the chorus gives the faxing berlin lead that real nice 80s vibe that isnt in the dry version.

Good to have your input Joel, always interesting to hear how the pros make their signature sounds.
