I know, that's why I hope that I'll never be in that situation. I could read and understand a text in French, but they speak so damned quick and inarticulate that I just go . It's completely different with English, unless someone has a very strong accent I can easily follow even fast and colloquial speech.
And one thing I have noticed: English seems to have more words than French. Is that an actual fact or just my impression? Where's Lira when you need him?!

I hate the way the French construct their sentences. Isn't it like "I you give a present" or something
They make things waaaay to complicated.

french puts indirect objects after the subject.
english puts it at the end of a sentence.

If "hi" is vag then "choy" should be "chul" for smelly?

Fact: the average human speaks at a rate of 120 words per minute.
Fact: the average human thinks at a rate of 360 words per minute.
Fact: Parisians, on average, speak at a rate of 280 words per minute.

Godspeed Meaty!

It gets complicated when you add "ne.. pas" and more than 1 verb to the sentence. Guess there are clear rules, but under the pressure that you can't really speak French word by word, you easily get confused.

Yeah or "chow" or something, but with "choy" I just think of veggies

Are you from Hong Kong or mainland China?

fair enough.

there are ways to work around all those things though.
Like I would never say something like "je ne la lui ai pas donnée"

i'd just say something like "c'etait pas le cas"

The rules are taught to give students a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of syntax and stuff.

French is often complicated for english-speaking people, because we don't naturally understand the concept of grammatical gender or verb agreement.
