His last track was not trance for sure, i even didn't remember it's title, Mat Zoo Remix was there also. I was so impressed to hear such shit from Tiesto. I really doubt it was normally sold. Now trance music produced and played by DJ number 1 John O'Callaghan (will vote for him), Sean Tyas, Aly & Fila, Tom Colontonio, Paul Webster, Jon O'Bir e.t.c. I with both hands for those guys.

This post is so f*cking ironic considering Tiesto's sets in the last 12 months are 90% full-on trance from artists you mention in your rant. It helps to have a clue or idea about what you're talking before launching into a heavy-handed critique.

Funny that the 1 time he deviates from this ballshit trance, guys like you criticise him changing the game. Establish that this is 1 night in 150 shows, and you get the idea that its hardly a true reflection of what hes been hammering recently.

I loved this set. Not because i love tiesto, or his style, but because for once he finally freaking changed his broadcast from being the cookie cutter crap to please the morons, into some intellectual techy/prog/housey beats. I love when he changes and mixes it up a bit. 3hrs of trance is so mind-numbing boring this is a nice alternative.

I can't comment about the artists you list as better - as I havent a clue what they regularly play, I couldnt tell you if they played trance, techno or mickey mouse gabber. Case of pot calling the kettle black if you single out Tiesto for this non-trance set without even hearing any tunes in 2-3 years as you mentioned...

It is just maybe unfortunate the management have been so tight on releasing Tiesto sets in that time, otherwise you may have a different idea what he's doing.

Wtf, the tunes you wanna hear from a trance artist , are always the same non stoping uplifting and banging tunes on 135 + bpm? The house/prog tunes played in this specific set makes it really amazing , I bet there was some real trance after the 1st hour for sure. Something for all tastes if you know what I mean.

From trance DJ i wanna hear trance track, not house, not techno, not DNB. It's stupid something for all tastes, if i do not like house, for me 1 (for example) i have to sitting somewhere, next hour dance and third hour walk home as he spun hardstyle (for all tastes). Stupid logic. House party for people who likes house, trance for trance lovers, hardcore for gabbers. If DJ wants to please all tastes that DJ is a WHORE, who will pay more, that style he will play.

DJ Ash, it is a little more complicated than Trance lovers and House lovers.

I'm trance lover, not house lover. I can't hear an house DJ in the mix because i don't like it. Progressive tunes mixed by a Trance DJ and Progressive tunes mixed by an House DJ, this is not the same. Listen David Guetta, Fedde Le Grand, or other House DJs in the mix and you'll understand what i want to say. How to mix, how to pitch, choice of tracks etc is different than a Trance DJ who's playing Progressive.

I'm trance lover but i need a varied set. Knowing that Tiesto played progressivly progressive to tech trance, uplifting in this live @ Queen Club... If I was there, I would have been thrilled. Just because it isn't just 3 hours with the same sound.

A build which starts progressive, minimalist and finishes uplifting, tech trance can be logical. This is a matter of talent. Tiesto knows it and it isn't the only DJ.
