She said in an interview she got rejected a lot in her early career before she added the pop hooks into her music along with glam rock outfits. Started playing the piano at 4.

The thing that totally nailed it, was the party our 6th form (basicly college) had... They had hired some noname DJ to play there(It turned out that all his music was warez ). Knowing the audience, I knew the music that the DJ was going to play would be mainly cheesy mainstream shit. Well I get there early, and to my amazement he was banging some trance& house tunes in there, but there was basicly nobody there yet. As the night goes on and people get in, the music starts to get older and cheesier, with some finnish pop along. Basicly all the cheesy tunes you can imagine since start of 90´s. Finally at the end, the DJ says that hes going to play 2 more songs, one slow and one fast. So yeah, I imagine that he will play some great tune, but when the last song starts playing my ears start bleeding and I have to rush out from there...

TL;DR DJ played Pokerface as last song.
