Re: Re: Re: Re: PART ONE
quoted for the amazing things these beauties have been doing to my ears last Saturday night and all week long...still bummed for missing the first one and a half hours!
As for the night, I went in with an open mind since it was my first time hearing Demi solo (live). So unlike most of you, I had no experience from his Sonic days . The two sounds being different at fw and the boat was the only expectation I went into the club with. After following SOS religiously for the past couple of years, I actually enjoyed the chuggy beats. I wouldn't say it was hard (and most certainly nothing like Jelo, LOL)...but I was expecting something more on the funkier side, a classic or two towards the end of the night. I guess those goodies were saved for the cruise which I missed out on. Reminds me of the SOS cruise last summer, when the boat was just docking back and Demi went on to play their edit of Lullaby by the Cure
Don't get me wrong, maybe its just my bias for Desyn's sound circa 2004-05 ..or the variety all 3 bring to the decks playing together as SOS. Much respect to Demi for still putting in his 100% behind the decks especially since the night wasn't as packed as everyone expected it to be.
All in all, I had great fun for the time it lasted and I'd echo Knox in saying that the party ended too soon for me and I felt cheated on some Demi beats...understandable though, because of the cruise being in a few hours.
Nice jammin with Knox and Cribby again...Luke Fair in OCT!!
p.s. Jeff, you got a new fan from overseas after last sat night. Gonna whore your set archive to said fan

"There's so many ways to do it, so many ways to see, but the only way to do it, is to do it properly..."
Had that song in my head all day on the boat cruise and Demi plays the accapella of it as one of his last tracks. Is he telepathic? What are the odds of him playing an accapella of a 10+ years old song that I had in my head that day.
