Ableton Live's sound quality is a good as any other DAW on the market, end of fucking story.
^THIS!
People need to realize that Ableton's sound quality isnt worse than any others. I haven't had a problem of sound quality with ableton or its warping features and I've warped vocals, beat loops, instrumental loops you name it. You just gotta know how to set up the warping feature for optimal sound quality.
p.s. the new "Pro Complex" algorithm in Live 8 is A+.

Ableton is the only program Ive ever seen accused of having bad sound quality...and it turning out to be true. This forum has atleast 3 threads about it, you can do the search yourself. Which is not a suprise to anyone, ableton is a tool used for doing live work.
Actually, I believe this is the second time we went over this mfitterer1.
So taking anecdotal evidence from people you know neither how smart they are or how much experience they have with the program and then claiming it to be fact? Sounds like you're just trying to ruffle feathers alas the usual for you.
For the record; in Ableton if you're working with audio files you have to always flatten audio and on top of that some people just don't understand that even if you haven't actively warped something it will still minutely affect the sound if it's on and not set correctly.
It doesn't matter what they originally made it for it is superb as far as audio quality goes, despite what Kenneth Thomas or anyone else says. Psychology also factors into this big time. You get 100 people saying something and psycho-acoustics come into play and you start thinking you're hearing things you really aren't.

Sigh. People don't choose mods who haven't showered in two weeks; it shows they lack common day to day life skills.

Yup yup. I mean these people are so dumb to think that Ableton would allow itself to lag behind in such a competitive market. If there was no competition for them the accusations would hold more clout; but there are MANY quality daw's. They cannot afford to put out a under performing product.
If someone were to show me some hard evidence of a loss of dynamics or sound quality i'd listen; but it's yet to have happened.

fuck me the last 2 pages of this thred was people just stepping in and picking on what people say over and over.
pointless
These are from different sites. There are tons and tons of them floating around the web. If Ableton's audio engine wasn't so bad, I doubt there would be so many speculations.
Like I said, I have rewired reason 4 to it with some patches I have made from before & I can clearly hear the difference when rewired to Ableton, as opposed to other DAWs or even just having Reason as standalone.
