perhaps one of the problems that ppl are having with american trance is that its not like euro trance

but is that such a bad thing, it sounds like everyone is just knocking it just because it doesn't fit the mold of euro trance, US djs may just be trying something new and different, trying to be innovate new styles....

it seems it would be very easy to copy the euro style of trance, I mean alot of it sounds alike anyways...

i am so fucking drunk right now i think you should all shut the fuck up. I posted a reply an d this is all over my fucking email address. if you don't like american trance you suck. if you dn't like european trance then shut the fuck up. your opnions are gay and nobody cares. Tiesto is the best. he is from europe. Damn anyway keep typing in this dumb ass thread and don't hate on america. i live here and i am getting more pussy than anyone else in this forum. even the girls. You all need to just shut up. Get a life i spend hours listening to fucking records. I don't have time to care about who is better. honestly you guys in europe have a great scene and you are envied by every trance dj in america. it is difficult to spin here. you have to seriously work it hard to get in anywhere. But i highly doubt anyone in here who is talking shit actually cares about the scene that they are in. They are just cock suckers. i feel rude but this is terrible. anyway when is the gabriel and dresden remix of mindcircus going to be on vinyl???????????

the subject of the thread was : do you any good american trance?
and the idea wasn't to go and compare it with europe, actually you should even count out djs cause this is about producing .....

whatever , who really cares, it seems like all of you just want to make your voices heard over others and not bother taking in count others opinions and acting all stereotypical .......

I've read to much bs on this thread , and I'm not pleased by having started this

do americans really know anything about electronic music?..i think they pretend listening to that in order to be cool and being loved by some europeans....tzztzz usa usa

whats so funny about that statement is that the complete opposite is true. Ask any american guy (or girl) who has visited europe and they will tell you that they become a center for attention from all the euros. (i can't even begin to describe how easy it is for an American guy to get laid )

European youth has some odd facisnation with American and being "american" (who the fuck would pay $300 for a FuBu sweater you could buy in America for $40? oh wait, they want to look "American" )

My guess is that we just market ourselves well (with a heaping dose of help from Hollywood).

But as for american electronic, we really dont' have many (Collins, BT, and Micro aside) but the scene is growing fast and the ammount of quality music from America will blow up...just watch.

C-naptik, no one hates arrogance more than me. Trust me on that one. And arrogant people can be in the US, in France, in any country.

But you have to admit that societies around the world are generally different. For example, the American society, shaped by its geography and history (e.g. "the Wild West"), is in love with the guitar. That's why rock is a very popular style here. As for techno and dance music -- not really.

Europe, on the other hand, has been producing quality dance music for years.

It's just like sports. In the US, no one really plays soccer, the game of choice here is baseball or American football. Are these games popular in Europe? No.

Societies are just different, and -- yes -- people are different too.

although there are few trance producers here in teh U.S.. there are plenty of diehard fans (although in California, most people mistake it for happy hardcore )

look america still has alot to learn within the dance music scene in general. Lots if good producers are coming through and as ive said in my earlier post if america gets a bigger scene im all for it even if its not totally trance dominated and the house scene explodes there are lots of buding producers in america and we need to stop them producing rap. Another big problem in america is the labels do no take electronic music seriously they see it as a waste of time and a non money making music. If you look at the Uk all these compilations are coming out most of em are shit and cheesy but im pretty sure everyone on the whole ta forum was listening to cheesy trance before appreciating pvd and tiesto. The Uk trance scene could be so much bigger all the kids listen to Rap and Uk Garage this has to stop. Trance is portrayed as a geeky music if Tiesto or Pvd were to start driving around in ferraris with guns and bitches ion there videos im pretty sure a lot more people would listen to trance!!

shit my longest post ever !! lol

King this phenomena is not due to trance

well yes and no this lack of public image about trance in the usa is due in part to what it is , electronic music.....

actually there's another reason as to why there's no public recognition , america has tons of parallel movements, that nobody knows about unless you are part of them....

take the rap scene, the true hip hop is not public, it's underground and has nothing to do with puff daddy and pimpish stuff on tv .....

well off course america has to progress, but don't forget I think it's more about the fact so many movement exist that it's impossible to really have one stand out, unless it's televised or has mass presence in the media or amongst the youth and so on.....

the scene is very much alive , but I think to many of us are stuck in what we listen to and the fact we "only" support the big djs .....
