I enjoy the fights too, but if people legitimately think that this should be a priority based on economic stimulus should just give their heads a shake.

Mixed Martial Arts should be seen for what it is - a societal craving for more violence when what's permitted / broadcasted simply isn't enough anymore. This ridiculous "surge" of support for MMA is nothing more than leading people to believe that there's a larger or stronger following than there actually is. Facts are facts, a couple (even a hundred thousand) tourists in town for one weekend bi-annually shouldn't be a logical foundation on which to base an argument calling for a sport to be put ahead of the sick, needy or a taxpayer's ability to earn a living.

MMA will have its time, but under no circumstances should it override other far more important issues. I'm not a McGuinty supporter, but he's dead on.

I don't think you understand political talk and all the various factors that go into the shit politicians say. The fact that he's mentioning it in the same breath means there's something else going on. Do you really think that legalizing MMA is on par with the economy and recession?

In all likelihood its some sort legislative clusterfuck that would open up a huge can of worms that the premiere just doesn't want to deal with.

i agree that it's not a priority.. this is something that you can debate when times are good, not when they're tough

I don't think Mcguinty is the problem here, the head of the ontario athletic comission is real old school and is all about boxing. His stance is that mma is against the criminal code.

I watched a couple shows of the UFC's ultimate heavyweight fighters and Evans seemed way too feminine with his dialogues, especially when confronting Jackson. Rampage was cool but then again he always is.
Since when the hell UFC is a called a sport? It's likeable to letting loose a bunch of morons of the leash and just literally brutalizing each other to the last breath. These aren't the simularities of boxing, which is the art of mastering fist's or kung fu, the virtuosity of the mind, body & soul.
Much respect to Anderson Silva and GSP, these guys are really something.

Maybe so however UFC is on the market continuously growing and producing money. No politician will void that idea.

Wow,

I don't think anyone calls UFC a sport, UFC is a company, MMA is a sport.

Boxing is way more dangerous dude, you are super ignorant.

The way you write is fucked! Pretty sure you don`t understand a lot of the words you use, or you`re just drunk and on drugs. Either way most of what you wrote barely makes sense.

I know

Definition of Sport:

Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.

If you can't see how MMA is a sport, you're a total idiot. But you have already proved that by your previous comment.
