What do you have against prog? =/
I can listen to most music forms in the world. Music where people scream so much I can't understand them confuses me, though, and so does country western. Other than that I'm all for it. Opera, classical, jazz, most forms of EDM, most forms of rock, most forms of rap, etc.

It's too god damn slow!!!
Really, how am I supposed to dance to a 4/4 beat plodding along with a subdued melody that is on the brink of collapse? If you slow it down 10% or so, you wind up having this:
And this is just gay, as in 102 BPM gay

i dont want to read your damned typings of it, it will just soften my initial pure reaction, which was the dwg1 is very ____ and made me feel very ____ remotely like this:+ but with my real face in front of my brain. i like it.
For some reason, when it comes to music with a 4/4 beat, I like it around 140~145 BPM. Prog, as far as I know, is seldom (if ever!) this fast, and it leaves me begging for more.
However, keep in mind that if I were Kim Jong-Il, the North Korean national anthem would probably be something from Dance Dance Revolution

I consider a song like this 'progressive' in some ways due to its structure. This is 140BPM I think, but it could be more.

Rhetorical, but does anyone in particular spring to mind?
One of my best friends is fairly obviously insecure about his intelligence, even though he's a smart guy. He dropped out of university the first time around because he had feelings of inadequacy. He's been through a phase recently of reading lots of books about religion, feminism, capitalism and so on.
I'm not going to mention any names, but there are definitely people on this forum who post the lofty books they've been reading and yet their actual behaviour is completely incongruous.
