they're goood tho
My experience with postings links to a page of images is that some other poster just ends up posting the good images on their own in the thread. In this case, pretty much every image is great. And instead of writing all the HTML for each image, i just did a simple iframe. Because I'm lazy. lol.
It's just a page of pics and comments. If it was a page with an article or something else with images, I would have done it the proper way. But other than loading the images, the rest of the page requires little bandwidth. So it shouldn't really affect the loading times for peopel on here if you aren't on dial-up.

i wasn't suggesting it cuz it slowed my comp down..that wasn't the issue. i just thought they were awesome pictures and a bit too big to be framed like that. to me, they looked better on the page itself. that's it

Now there appears to be some serious issues at the nuclear power plant. I'm reading that they're fearing a meltdown.........like they don't have enough shit to deal with already
Does anyone know if the small islands in the Pacific have been hit by the tsunami? French Polynesia etc?
I'm quite concerned for them as many wont stand a chance against a 2/3 metre tsunami.

11.11am: Here's more details from Oxfam on the impact of the tsunami on Pacific island nations.
Papua New Guinea: The Boram hospital in Wewak suffered serious damage when it was flooded by waves. Around 50 of the 100 patients were evacuated to the police station compound where most are lying outside. Heavy rains are now reported in the area, causing concerns about sanitation.
The Solomon Islands: The worst damage was in the northern Isabel province. "The water is reported to have reached 50 metres inland and in one village, a house was destroyed and several canoes washed into the sea," said Oxfam representative Joe Weber.
Tonga: Oxfam programme manager Dolores Devesi, said: "There were no waves here, just big tides. People spent the night at consolidation points inland from the coast, but now there are lots of cars returning home."
Samoa: "There were warnings in place all night but the only wave activity looked smaller than Hawaii, which we saw on TV," said Women in Business Development Incorporated, an Oxfam partner agency.

Speaking before the blast, Naoto Sekimura, a professor at the University of Tokyo, told the Associated Press a major radioactive disaster was unlikely.
"No Chernobyl is possible at a light water reactor. Loss of coolant means a temperature rise, but it also will stop the reaction," he said. "Even in the worst-case scenario, that would mean some radioactive leakage and equipment damage, but not an explosion. If venting is done carefully, there will be little leakage. Certainly not beyond the 3km radius."
