Stop hating. EZ this year was awesome. Only heard a couple of guys sets the full way through, which were mostly good, was bouncing around from tent to tent alot of the time. All that screech step was annoying though. Also IMO alot of great/good sets from trance acts (ABOVE & BEYOND!!, SVD, Mat Zo, super8 &tab, arty, armin) so I think the trance genre is doing just fine. Good filthy beats from mwoods, some of G&D, hardwell and edx too.

And before we carry on this debate, let's be honest here - it's not just about the party and the the vibe. If it was just that, why don't you go to country music or some death metal festivals? Because it's about the music too.

...I go to these events for music, everything else is secondary. I could be in a fucking basement of some abandoned warehouse - if music is awesome, I don't give a shit that they don't have 25 different food carts, face paint artists, clowns, and donkey-blowing midgets to distract me from music.

Seriously, it's only my $0.02. We don't have to agree, you know.

I have been to more festivals, parties, club nights, warehouse parties than 90% of people here and EZ in todays standards has the absolute best diversity (of course my opinion) for a festival in the US

I would have to agree to your statement above. It still gets the crowd there yet they still have some of the acts we have grown to love.

Mades organization of this was good, the shuttle buses and mta were super fast in getting you out of there. The entry line was always quick no matter what

My only complaints were that all of the tents and mainstage were a lot quieter during the day. On friday they were even at night. Sunday had the best sound levels. I guess they got enough complaints from the artist by then. The last minute mailing of the tickets was crap too.

The tents all had better setups this year but I could have seen more "extra" production (kryo, confetti, etc) and with the temperature as hot as it was in them, they could have used kyro or large fans. On saturday I walked by the hillside arena when skrillex was on and you could feel the heat just flowing out of there, yikes!

It was fun while it lasted...

Sunday was wack and a Big disappointment. The set that kill it was BoyzNoize. Sitting on the hill where the magical mushroom was growing by the cube, facing the hilltop and main stage to my left. Armin fan myself, Listening and watching to both set Armin and BoyzNoize, BoyzNoize definitely Kill IT right there at his closing set.( should of left right after that ) There was no need for any more. The firework in the end of Armin set was the only thing that was WOW, not really. It was interesting listening BoyzNoize and Armin going back n forth at it. BoyzNoize music was just greatt and Armin was just gay and horrible. BoyzNoize definitely made Armin music sound stupid. Armin is too light, I'm Sorry It Just Is.

Nope. Don't have any problem whatsoever with him playing in and out of love mashup 3 yrs running, especially after most of the tracks he played this year I didn't recognize (but liked). At least it was a diff mashup. Was way more miffed when a&b dropped on a metropolis day... Again. But, whatevs.

Headliners playing their anthem at every large festival is nothing new. What next, hate on Daft Punk for playing One More Time 10 years in a row?

last time i checked, i was't talking to you. i just asked a simple question because of what he said

"he FINALLY got rid of kernkraft 400."

which means he was getting tired of him playing the same song. and you think in and out of love is an anthem so don't even bother me dude lol

I caught some of Skrillex and it was ok. I mean the music was pretty ugh and nobody really dances...more like headbang and wave at the dj, but the energy in the tent made up for that and it was pretty freggin full. It's the kind of music that is only good at large festivals/concert halls for an hour or 2 at a time. His brostep type of dubstep aint gonna happen at a club.

I remember hearing this too but ain't it...crap, the search continues...
