Finally had a chance to write up a review for this amazing night.
So let's get started shall we?
I got there with my buddy around 10:15, parked and decided to hit up the gas station for some drinks and whatever. Went back still no line so we waited in the car for a bit. While we were in the car talking, we noticed Tim Grube and Mike Hovsepian from Grube & Hovsepian walking by. But wait, they had one really tall guy with them...Lo and behold it was Arnej himself. So far so good.
We decided to get in line and when we looked there was a massive line already forming close to 10:45 or so. Now usually I get there nice and early and never wait. I noticed while standing in line that folks were there for Markus. A good sign of things to come, since a lot of times I have to explain to people who it is I am seeing that night. One weird thing about the night is that they were patting down everyone, which I have never seen at Space but then again I think it's only my 5th time going. Whatever, no problems getting in.
We walked up to the loft and chilled listening to techno and hanging out near the entrance to the Terrace which I had confirmed was going to open at midnight. While there Javi walked up and we all waited together for the door to open.
Right at midnight it slid open and we walked in to Markus already starting the party. From what I could see it was Markus with his wife, Tim Grube, Mike Hovsepian, Arnej, and Kaeno. Balloons were decorating the perimeter of the dj booth and Markus was just laying down some warm-up beats so everyone had time to get in and pack the place before he wrecked the place.
Once the place got nice and full he started dropping bombs one after another. His mixing was flawless and with every song he brought more and more energy as the night went on. I remember looking in the VIP area beside the booth and seeing Grube, Hovsepian, Arnej, and Kaeno just going crazy dancing. At one point Space brought out a cake with flares and Markus was trying to blow them out but eventually gave up after 2-3 tries. Haha. He played from 12-5:45, I stayed on the floor for most of it but unfortunately my bladder couldn't take it any longer and I had to go to the little boys room about 4.5 hours in.
Overall: He played very little vocals maybe 5-6 the entire set. The ones he played were quality and not stuff you hear a billion times. I don't think any cheesy songs were played either. Deep, dark, bass thumping trance from start to finish.
To top it off my buddy and I were leaving and as I turned to talk to him, who was right behind us? Markus, his wife, and a few others. We thanked him for the awesome night, he thanked us back and told us thanks for coming out. What a guy! I have met him every time I see him in Space and he is always very friendly and talkative. It was a night I won't soon forget.
I've posted some vids for you guys. Check them out.

A lot of artists today are just victims, not having control, and they're not free. And that's pathetic. If you start being dependent on money, then money has to reach a point to fit your expenses. - Thomas Bangalter
