Back on topic, this is rather sad that this happened. My guess is that it was done by some homegrown wack job. If it was a Middle Eastern terrorist strike, Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, whoever would already be publicly claiming responsibility.
I'm also wondering how this event will affect the gun control debate, if any.

Is everything a conspiracy theory to you these days? Because every time someone says anything that you dont like to hear it is automatically conspiracy. Do you not remember how hard the Bush admin was trying to link Iraq to 911? Remember the whole Al Qaeda members are hiding in Iraq? We seem to forget history so quickly..
