To make a top 40 song;
1. Find some mundane every day action
2. Record the sound
3. Loop the sound
4. Add Bass
5. Add simple synths
6. Title the song after the mundane action
7. Release
8.
9. PROFIT!

The Ketchup Song...*violently shudders* I've just spent the weekend with some relatives and all my younger cousin did was talk about that song and how good it was...arrg!

damn straight!
that was absolutely disgraceful and just goes to show what these people are willing to do to sell their product. When I first saw the promotion on TV I immediately thought it was an ad for Starburst lollies, and I was damn right! Iniquitous assholes!

my reactions to that comment expressed through the wonderful world of emoticons:
firstly...!!
then...
and finally...

and whats wrong with DJ SAMMY re? i go sik to that song when i do doughnuts in my VL at the kfc on chapel st moite.
on the serious note, do you realise how many of your favourite trance producers used to make the very dance-styled stuff you're talking about?
Armin Van Buuren used to be Self Control (Problem Boy?),
Ferry Corsten did the Jolly Good Remix of Klubheadz Klubhopping,
there's alot more but the thing is, everyone starts somewhere, and while the commercial dance stuff is good for a giggle, it keeps the kiddies out of the real stuff. but if you ask me, even our scene is becoming alot more polluted these days. that's life i guess.
