Seriously though, I've given progressive many many chances. It just doesn't do it for me.. I always get a headache after hearing it for more than 20 minutes. I can only tolerate it when I'm stoned, but that doesn't happen very often.

Lustral - everytime (yunus remix)
Yahel - You feel

Are these two classics? or are these totally new? i've heard Yahel - You feel.. doesn't do much for me.. Can't call it a classic at all..

I guess my question is, is there a progressive track that every progressive head knows? a track that defines progressive.. for an angel is one of such tracks for trance.

There will always be WARS between trance and other muzuk in our scene.

DnB vs Trance is still going on but ... it's toned down a lot. It all started from BIGBUD having trance and DnB at their parties. And from Destiny & BIGBUD joining forces

Satoshi Tomiie - Love In Traffic --> enough said!

By the way, this might not apply to all of you, but my feeling towards the progressive music is way different than yours towards the trance... I live for the new songs, not classics, because once I hear a certain progressive song a couple of times it becomes a classic, and if I hear it enough times I just retire it for good, and move on to whatever comes out next, because it can only be better than the previous tunes! I just can't enjoy the progressive the same way I can enjoy trance... No wonder it's called progressive music, it's constantly progressing, changing, setting new boundaries and limits... while with trance, you can play/hear something like "For An Angel" and still enjoy it like you did back in the day when it came out. And everything that comes out these days in the trance scene just sounds the same, basically old ideas updated for this year, revised or remixed. And that's what's pissing me off with the state of trance these days!

Does this make any sense to anyone?

I stand correct once again, DnB and Jungle are the samething ... pussies call it DnB & BODMON call it Jungle. There are many different type of DnB & Jungle. The only thing that is different is the intelligent DnB (example LTJ BUKEM) but , that's a totally different subject.

ummmmmmmmmm I wouldn't go as far as say DnB and jungle are the same thing. Dnb as I know it (Goldie - Timeless, Dillinja, J Magik etc back a year or two ago)and I think the same goes for LTJ Bukem, THAT is what dnb is, intelligent stuff etc, or some tribally elements in it as well. That's what Goldie dropped when I was @ Red Square. Jungle is Dieselboy 6IX Sessions for example. Jungle sometimes has an mc where as DnB usually doesn't and sometimes it can have an atmospheric sound to it (LTJ and Goldie do this I think) If I'm completely wrong on this somebody let me know...lol

i kinda see the 2 in a similar way altho i always considered Dieselboy to be more dnb than jungle..

i tend to associate normal jungle a lot with the likes of ragga jungle, like with the MC as Endlesswave said ..

dnb i see more like tekstep and intelligent/atmospheric type beats. not to say jungle isn't intelligent , but that's just the name of the genre..

i'm sure ppl don't agree with me on this but that's fine. it's just the way i choose to see it ..

now back to the topic of this thread..

i agree with you guess here and this is the main reason as i was trying to state before why i like dnb more than jungle. dnb is much more intelligent and who the fuck doesn't know Andy C, LTJ Bukem? i'd say the best jungle used to spin AK1200, but know i dunno jungle doesn't do it for me and for a fact there is a lot MC'ing good jungle nowaday's Lunatic Calm J.Majik is not bad either...
