Most i saw was 8gb Really, was at my dad's work. The main two comps he can use have access to 2tb hdds, 8gb of ram, dual p3 1ghz, both sharing oc48 he works for HP hehe

Not to brag... My work computer has 1 gig and our servers range from 2gig to 8gig. To be honest I dont think even 50% of it is ever utilized. But hey, I didn't pay for it!!

hehh, yeah that much ram is NEVER used at all. lol. but yeah, if they're servers, it's good to have that much just in case. neva know.

omg.. i think any RAM above like... 500MB or so.. is not utilised.. i mean..
how many applications at once could someone run?
unless i mean... maybe if u used like Maya + Terragen + Photoshop + Director + Flash + Bryce 3D + ICQ 200000BBB + Dreamweaver + etc etc..
then u may come close
and u are like editing like.. some... huge 100000 x 100000 TIF or something .. lol *Shrugs*..

lol. that's how i'm like actually! well maybe not THAT much....

photoshop + IE + ICQ + yahoo + winamp + illustrator + flash + dreamweaver

but when it comes to 3d progs, i always close everything. running win2k also helps heapz for multitasking.

lol well my computer barely survives

ICQ + Flash + Dreamweaver + Photoshop
let alone any more than that lol..

hehe, that's good. i dunno, win2k i believe has a lot to do with the stability of my system now...it's being really good! *hands my comp a computer chip for it to munch on* good computer.

hehe i've made a decision to upgrade to windows xp
oooooooooo the interface is so funky

office xp is funky enuf hehe
windows xp hopefully will tinker with ma settings more nicely hehe
