Bully
Its from the same director as "Kids". Definetly a great movie, and you can completely tell that its the same director. Bully and Kids show a ton of similarities, but regardless its another great movie.
Telly from Kids is in it, and the guy from Murder by Numbers (not the guy from Breaker High, the other guy).
Its based on a true story.
I just watched it 2 nights ago and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. My heart was beating SO hard and fast during the really suspensful scenes.
One thing I don't understand.
DO NOT READ THIS NEXT PART IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN "BULLY" - SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!
Why would Marty get the death penalty when the other guys are just as guilty as he is?
The gang member guy smashes his head with a baseball bat and the weird druggy kid is the first to stab him and continually stabs him throughout the killing.
I think the big guy should've gotten more than 11 years. I mean he didn't hit him or anything, but he did throw the kid in the water while he was still breathing.
And Im so confused to who put the annonymous tip in. I figured it would've been the girl with the kid, but then I saw that she got 40 years. I think they would've been a little lax on her if she gave the tip.
I don't see why she would get 40 years and the girl with the blue hair would only get 7 years (or 8 I can't remember). They were both just as responsible. Well maybe the girl with the kid was a little more responsible since she lured him out there, but the blue-haired girl gave the signal for the guys to come down and kill him.
My guess is that she put in the "annonymous" tip, hence her substansially shorter sentance. Or maybe it was the big guy, Im confused now

I have watched a lot of movies lately
Chung King Express - Wong Kar-Wai's "Chungking Express" is as fresh as falling rain, a pair of love stories full of pain and humor. Shot fast and sometimes furiously on crowded Hong Kong streets, it speaks in its own highly personal shorthand, expressed through the most fluid of cameras and punctuated with bold whooshes of color and potent bursts of American pop music.
Fallen Angels - To describe the plot is to miss the point. ``Fallen Angels'' takes the materials of the plot--the characters and what they do--and assembles them like a photo montage. At the end, you have impressions, not conclusions. His influences aren't other filmmakers, but still photographers and video artists--the kinds of artists who do to images what rap artists are doing to music when they move the vinyl back and forth under the needle.
I would reccomend both of them, both by the same director but are amazing movies, that like it says at the end you are left with a impression, i do not know, a must see movie if you like film for just film, i do not know hard to explain, but i love them.
