Great "Make Love no War" pic!

Now, lets see. I avoided this thrade the entire day. If I'll start, I'll piss alot of people off. Then again, most of the TA agree with me. Bush is a bitch. I'm quiet releaved that there is a strong united opposition towards the war. I may be bias, considering I'm coming from one of those ex-USSR countries, but I stand with whatever Russian gov't decides.

Regarding earlier coments on the "World is unfair and we have to get used to it." I did agree with that for a while, yet recently I saw CONTACT. Yeah yeah, a movie quote, how pathetic. I know. Nevertheless, there was a conversation that went along the lines
"I'm sorry BLAH, but world is unfair. its where we live and we can't do anything about it."
To which she responded "Funny, I always thought its what we make of it."
------The point is, we are people who have(will have) ability to vote and protest. To choose from right and wrong. To think and analyze the intentions behind political moves. I may sound like a tree hugging freak for now, but I'm not.

This War, in my opinion, was a strategic and poorly calculated move. At the time, going against Iraq seems a WIN-WIN move to get Iraqis oil. So Dubya invests shit load of money and starts stirring b.s.
He took the risk! The risk that the world will support him. Afterall, Sadam is "ALL HATED" fella. Even South park had him as a character in the movie. One of the biggest problems with business is POOR PLANNING! For a president, thats kind of sad. All he had to do is invest a mil in research and preaty much see a clear pic of what and who each country will do. After investing so much $$, they can't back away. Now, all we listen is bull shit at CNN about how its about "GOOD vs. EVIL." I liked how he said "UN faild to raise to its responsibilities, but we won't." (So much for UN...just like communism...good idea...yet in practice, Bush just steps over it)

What do we do now? Make the best of it. How? No clue. Fellow Canadians, look at the bright side; if Iraq retaliates, its going to be an US city leveled; Gas prices will dicrase; our high standard of living and lovely way of life will continue. Overall, Iraqi people will suffer. Thousands of them die. Yet we won't!

I don't know about you, but the price for our good life's is too damn high.

I'd rather take a bus.

P.S. Bush goes into exile. I dunno about you, but this is the best idea I heard so far. lol...and Sadam said that.

P.S.S. regarding the whole Nazi and if they're evil. Never forget that history is written by the winners. Try comparing Russian history of WWII and American History. You'll be surprised how DIFFERENT they are. Ilya...back me up on this one. All you view Stalin as EVIL and horrible person, yet at the time when he was in power, he was considered GOD and the maker of ALL thats GOOD and WONDERFUL. When he died, the whole nation cried. Only years after, he was accepted as "evil." Regardless of all that, there were decisions which were made by Hitler and they directly murdered people. From that, we can consider him Evil. Murder without reasonable provocation is evil.

Ahw...Sorry..I should really shut up about now. just last quote;

There are four kinds of Homicide: felonious, excusable,
justifiable, and praiseworthy.
-Ambrose Bierce

Peace

OH I get it, they weren't TOO dangerous, only quasi dangerous. Honestly, let's get that fukker out of there. Then worry about the oil bullshit. Take it a step at a time.

looks like the only thing bush is worrying about is the oil, this war is stupid and us will make a huge mistake, sorry bush.

Actually, the oil argument doesn't sway me too much. It would be cheaper for the yanks to just BUY oil off Saddam, which they WERE doing throughout the 90's....it only recently stopped within the last year or so. The Bush Administration (and the only guy in that I respect is Colin Powell, whose idea it was to go to the UN in the first place....too bad it didn't work out) has other goals in Iraq other than oil. They want Saddam out....for some reason, they view him as a threat and I tend to agree. Get him out quick and rebuild Iraq. There are some grave possible consequences though....more terrorist attacks, many yank and british casualties, further declining Arab relations, etc.

I just hope the gamble that idiot Bush is taking pays off. I still think that Gore (who actually won that fucking election anyway!) would be doing a better job right now. If I was an American, I think I'd be a Democrat in support of the war but Bush would never get my vote...EVER! His economic and environmental policies are just too right wing.

pay off??? dude..what results do they want from this waR???Saddam Hussein to be killed thats it...how did Hussein's presence affect anyone over here id love to know..

i predict that theres gonna be a really severe retaliation cos of the Iraqis and other supporters that live in the US itself who will defend Iraq. the WTC tragedy was only a preview of things to come. It was a warning.

How i wish Gore was fairly elected instead of this hick who got his brother to play with the votes.....

i would love to know the real reason for this war...maybe its not oil...but wats the justification for it???

who knows??
