He was a damn good player that had a TON of extra pressure and hardships, which as a result, makes his achievements all that much more remarkable as a player. But he still wins just as a player too.

I know he wasnt in the hall of fame entirely for being black he was good, but he was the 3rd best player of his own team during that time duke snider and kofax, drysdale was great too

Okay. First off. "War" had/has nothing to do with anything. If you're willing to bring that up for Jackie Robinson, then what about Ted Williams? Or what about all the black ball players who weren't playing due to the color barrier? You can't bring up things that didn't happen because of a "war."

Second... Koufax wasn't good until 1962. Jackie was way gone at that point. Don Drysdale had 1 year together with Jackie Robinson.

Finally... the point wasn't that the Dodgers were a better team in the 50's then the Red Sox were in the 90's. The point was that Jackie Robinson was a better player than Mo Vaughn. Which I've shown in more ways that one now.
