Its a big misconception with working out... running helps alot, but lifting really gets that fat burning going. Its all about resistance training. Thats why swimming is the greatest workout on the planet.

With running, you can only make it down to a certain point and than youre gonna have to start using weights anyway, might as well incorporate them.

I wish I had access to a bigger pool, I would be there all the time. The pool at bally's sucks royal ass. 25m pool, 3 lanes, 20 people in it. And most of those people are doing the breast stroke, taking forever to get to the other end of the pool.

During that time that I was doing alot of swimming, I had 2 collegues join me, neither of them could swim... neither of them 'could' float. By the time I was done with them, they were swimming like champs. I noticed everyone thats afraid of swimming thinks they cant float. Trust me, I can get you to float - its all psychological.

lolol. the ocean is alittle rough for a first timer... you need a pool - floating is all about breathing, slow deep breathes in, slow deep breathes out (you will feel like you are sinking when you breathe out, but dont get scared youre about to breathe air in which will keep you afloat )
