I have a new charting program now. http://iqchart.com/
It is 9999999999999 times better than what IB gives you and a ton better than the java charts optionsxpress gives you. Very clean, easy to use interface, has all the options that I need, downside is that it only refreshes once per minute. A big positive is that you can look at different timeframes very quickly, there's no delay.

Tomorrow I'll be looking for FMD to turn over, it may take a few days or it could be right at the open.

wow, check out FMD

Not fuck fannie and freddie, fuck the management.

whoo someone jumped the bid and I'm out of fmd. they payed a 10-15 cent premium (above what it's worth when excised) to get those puts from me. there was a 20 cent spread from the market maker. now all I have is sndk left.

and it seems to be tanking right now along with the S&P 500
I think I'll hold it. I can sell if there's an intraday reversal tomorrow

edit: fmd rebounding hard!
there's news that they may be deciding on a no naked short rule for the ENTIRE market now. they are getting very desperate. I think that's the fed's last bullet.

Check out FMD's stock data.... http://moneycentral.msn.com/investo...Q=1&Type=Equity

How does a company make NEGATIVE revenue???? Also, even though their quarterly income statement records a loss of $230 million their cash flow statement records a positive $73 million? So are they losing money, or making money. Very confusing here..

i was trying to think of a negative revenue, but that would just be an expense or capital cost. i'm stumped on that. as for the difference with cash flow and income statement, although i didn't look at it, the cash flow statement backs out any non cash item that affects the income (i.e., depreciation, etc...)

One of the mega-brokers (it was Merrill or Lehman) reported negative revenues last quarter as well. Just goes to show they suck (and had huge negative marks on their revenue producing assets).

i'm not an accountant, but how does devaluing a revenue producing asset cause negative revenue. By definition revenue is an inflow of some type of resource. An outflow is considered an expense or other capital expenditure. How can something have a negative inflow. it doesn't make sense to me. although, anyone who has worked with accounting knows that sometimes it makes no fuking sense.

I would direct you to Merrill Lynch for clarification because, like you, the concept of negative revenue makes absolutely no sense to me! I would think the worst case revenue would be zero!

Tomorrow I think volatility will be in LEH. Options bearish on CROX, SHLD, and NTRI.

Also tomorrow might be the pivotal down day for financials as a whole. Looks like people are realizing Lehman isn't in good shape and the gov can't do much about it. I was a month early on that trade, haha.

Inflation exposed...

This is a great, easy to follow example of how our government manipulates inflation data and the implications of it. A must see.

I was feeling bad about being stopped out in Lehman but I bought puts again at around 13.63 and looks like my money is back.
