i'm pissed because right at the end of shift (like shit always happens), there was a massive thunderstorm that was dropping 1" hail and winds in excess of 40 mph (35 kts). this was about 50 miles out....and it had sustained that intensity for a couple of counties. so we issued for Tulsa, OK for hail between 1/4" to 3/4" and winds >35 kts.

so after shift, i come home and like the nerd i am, pull up more weather stuff. and what happens? that fucking thunderstorm dies off the county before Tulsa...like no kiddin about 20 miles out. so they didn't get anything. no high winds, no hail, notta.

pissed

you could at least do something to move the gulf stream back to normal in the atlantic, taking all this fecking rain away from us we've had like 5 nice days since the end of April

Here I was thinking they just disembowelled chickens and read the entrails to predict the weather.

I just bought a home theatre system and a DVD player from Circuit City. I bought it online cheaper, and didn't have to pay for shipping, because i'm going to pick it up at the store. if it's not ready at 24 minutes, they'll give me a 24 dollar gift card!

btw, here's what i bought:

Zenith DVD player [to match my Zenith TV]

Sony Home Theatre System [Zenith apparently doesn't make them]

and yes, this is my FIRST DVD player ever. i always watched them on my computer, but was getting sick of doing that.

ps, i spent $249 total for both of these.
