look at the pump and dump on LEH
predictable. a lot of these people need to be locked up.
this dump is truly impressive. I heard that companies can not buy back their own stock after 2:30 CST. That's exactly the time LEH turned over.
If they were buying back their own stock to support buyout rumors... LOL.

Looks like the dump happened around 3 o'clock. But the stock still closed 5% higher than yesterday's closing price.

Look at the pre-market dump of LEH.
-4.58%
Bove also set a 45.00 price target on BSC one week before it went under.

I have noticed that CXSP is making double digit movements everyday it seems. It's a biotech with a lot of promising technologies. My model says its overvalued, but being a biotech, it's hard to value them with any accuracy, though I still do it. This company has technologies I think may have some usefulness at some point. But for traders looking for huge up and downside movement, this stock is it.

Wowwwwww....
Someone just entered an order to buy 250,000 shares of STSI. It's up 37%! I shorted it in my CAPS account. I'm taking a huge beating to my rating.
I think this may be a pump n dump. There is no big news on STSI.

Dick Bove--he was all over CNBC/Bloomberg earlier in the year and made a name for himself by being negative and right. Then he turned and got positive (arrogantly so), but has been wrong in that call, though he is still arrogant. He was at Punk Zeigel, who subsequently got bought by Ladenburg Thalman. Most recently he was sued by one of the banks he covers for having a negative opinion of them (though I believe it was shown that he used inaccurate data to some degree).
Meredith Whitney of Oppenheimer has had the best call so far, though you have to be careful when these people talk because they move markets significantly, if only for brief periods of time.

$2 stocks that trade an average of 250,000 shares a day are the realm of day-traders and stock manipulators. The stock has traded 4.4M shares today (on what is one of the lightest volume days in the markets in recent memory) on a float of 58M shares. Try explaining why FRE is up 20% when just about everyone and their mother believes the common stock is going to be wiped out within the next few weeks!
