Yeah, I really don't know what the fuck Jackson is doing right now - he's basically trying to "out-black" the first real black Presidential candidate, and it would seem all he's looking to accomplish by doing so is attempting to ensure that one of the whitest people in the country becomes President.

I've been tired of JJ for a long time - I really wish someone would either kill or maim him significantly so I could be done with him.

The worst part is, it's not just him.

A lot of important figures in Obama's life/campaign (despite the fact he tries to keep the two seperate) just keep saying stupid things, luckily he rebounds from it rather well each time but still.

And hell if I can remember a candidate this plagued by moronic and loud mouthed supporters who just end up screwing shit up.

Im trying to figure out his angle. I hope he comes out and says something about why he voted that way. I suppose theres something to be said about "if the White House asks you to do something you dont stand there an question it." (Im referring to the phone companies, of course.) He probably thinks they cant be held to the same standard that the President should be held to...

Anyways, Im just looking forward to a statement.

I'm pretty sure it's because now that he's moved into the general election, he's trying to tack to the center to get those votes. I don't believe he is sincere in the least bit, one way or another. He just wants the heartland votes that he's alienated himself from, so he has to move in that direction. He had voted against any immunity whatsoever for telecommunication companies every single time it's come up.... until now. He promised at one time to filibuster any bill that contained telecom immunity. Now he pledged to support the bill, even with telecom immunity. So, he was either blowing smoke then, or he's blowing smoke now. Typical politician

Pretty much why I've moved on from, "Alright, go Obama, whoo!" to "Eh, he's just another guy but he's the lesser of two evils, so he has my vote."

I've gone from "Shit, what does this guy even stand for? I can't put my finger on anything concrete," to, "shit, what does this guy stand for? I can't put my finger on anything concrete AND he's going to tax me into oblivion if elected." I can't vote for that guy. Is it just me, or is there more pussy ass pandering in this election cycle than ever before (by both candidates)?

As much as I really hate taxes, after Dubya's years of raising spending and lowering taxes, it's going to be inevitable that we pay for this somehow.

Dubya's always hooked me up on my tax refunds. All my 401K and stock profits are going to get hammered when Obama doesn't extend W's tax cuts, and doubles the capital gains tax.

So as long as someone lowers your taxes, they can spend all the money they'd like?

The next president NEEDS to raise taxes, regardless of who it is.

When you're spending money that you simply don't have and for the better part of most knowledge simply DOES NOT EXIST at the rate the USA is... Ya... Time to start thinking about paying down that national debt.
