i didnt see anything really in person but i did get a few pictures with orbs and 'ectoplasms' both which are signs of "ghosts." orbs are basically like a random circle or bright dots in completley random spots on your picture. it can be caused by dust, snow, rain, etc but although its been raining for days and it was wet as balls out, the weather was more than nice to us tonight. ectoplasms are like foggy parts of a picture. either a blotch of fog in a random place in the photo or would it would look like if there was smoke in that part of the picture or even just a part that blurrier and doesnt match another part of the picture. i have a couple examples of this, some far more obvious than others. I'm basically going to present this as a play by play of the weirder shit i captured. the first few dont have anything but they'll set up the story nicely.
Anyway we got to the park at about 9:45. its a pretty big park. its about 400 acres and includes a golf course, tennis courts, beaches, hiking and biking trails, etc. it sits right on the shores of lake michigan just a mile or two east/southeast of the int'l airport. we parked our car on one of the neighboring blocks and walked in the main entrance. there was a suprisingly large amount of traffic but it was mostly teenagers coming in to buy drugs and and drug dealers speeding out to avoid getting caught. and let me tell you, the po-po were anal as hell. right at 10, as the traffic started to die and we were getting progressively deeper into the park a cop slowed to tell us it was 10 and we had to leave the park, asking if we parked our car in the park. he then watched us turn around to walk back towards the exit and slowly drove off, stopping at a parking lot to wait and stop any incoming traffic. we certainly didnt come to just get kicked out so we waited until a car came roaring through and the cop to follow him and we made a clean break for the nearest hiking trail entrance.
I should probably mention, since i know i'll get called out if i dont, that these images have had their resolutions lowered significantly and their quality lowered moderately to make it convenient for your browsing pleasure, but ALL content of the images is undoctored and authentic. I should also mention the weather. Ectoplasms can often be written off as cigarette smoke or even the light reflecting your breath on a cold night. first off, none of us smoked anything tonight aside from what we smoked on the beach. as far as weather goes, tonight was mostly cloudy, with no noticable rainfall and in the mid to upper 40s. in none of the picture of ectoplasm should it be confused with my breath as i was aware of this before i went out and held my breath during every picture (which gets tiring when you shoot 80 pictures in a night) and it was also pretty mild out so my breath would be unlikely to appear. it was not foggy out at all and aside from the rain we've been getting most of this past week making the ground muddy and wet, it was a really nice night out.
And It Begins......
The Seven Bridges hiking trail goes through a good majority of the park. it loops around the thick wooded areas and has several (more than 7) bridges crossing the various streams that run through the park. two of the pathways open up onto a beach.... And our journey begins:

after going down lots of steps (logs dug into the hillside) and crossing one bridge, we stopped at a sign which has a map of the park so we could figure out where we were and where we were going:

Our plan was to go to the beach, pack an apple full of weed even though we had a pipe an apple is easily disposable in case we run into any police later. we smoked up and chilled on the beach for a few. I didnt take pictures of this because I didnt want to document any illegal activities again incase we run into police we can keep the charges to a minimum and only get a ticket for being in the park past close.
so we ventured into the darkness:

Our only sources of light were the light on the front of my friends video camera and a small LED light that i have attacthed to my keys. We had only explored about 1/10 of the trail just getting to the beach and we obviously were out of find something so we took a different path and started exploring. Here is one of the first bridges we crossed in our travels. If you look closely you can see many different small orbs around the photo:

i also heard a lotta weird shit. i often would stop to take a picture and my friends would keep walking, too high to realize i stopped and after i snapped a picture i would see subtle sparkling in the area where i snapped the picture (also a sign of ghosts) and one of the time i heard quick rustling like light footsteps running in my direction right after i snapped it. here is a prime example of ectoplasm. now that im completely sober its kinda creepy but at the time it was just cool as shit:

Here are a couple random pics along the trip before we ran into trouble. These two i shot in the same patch next to the path because i literally felt like i had to take a picture there. in both images i got large white dots in random locations on the image:

if i hadnt had been so high i would have been a lot more frightened but it was actually really entertaining. as i would review the pictures and see the things i captured i'd laugh and geek out thinking about all the 'spirits' just chillin in the woods with me.
we kept walking and since i was perplexed with taking pictures, most of which sadly turned out to show nothing, i completely ignored what paths we were taking, although i had a general idea where we were. in a lot of cases the paths would run parallel to a cliff line and there would be a VERY steep drop about 50 feet down to the water. not a high-friendly location. there were a couple paths that weaved through eachother and heres an image i took at one of the 'intersections'. you can see a large, oddly shaded circle in the lower center and a similarly shaded blur along the right edge of the image above the tree stump:

We found our path opening up right by a parking lot where a cop car was sitting in a corner spot, lights off. we obviously didnt want to turn back but we surely didnt want to get caught either. we made our way along a wooden fence just out of sight and found our way to a trail at the other end of the opening. we followed that for awhile but i didnt snap any photos there because the trail was through a patch of woods directly behind the parking lot and the parked cop car. the flash would have blown our cover. we continued walking and in the distance we saw that the path we were on ended or atleast opened up to a road. a car came speeding by the opening of the path and then slowed to a dead halt. we were a significant distance into the path and we thought we were deep enough that the car couldnt see in but the car backed up and stopped directly in front of the path entrance. before we had time to move a spotlight came beaming down the path. we quickly dove for cover behind a tree and waited out the search. we sat there formulating a plan as motionless as possible, occasionally popping our head out to see if he had moved on. after what seemed like an hour, but was only like 45 seconds, he shown his spotlight to the opposite side, scanning the trees on the other side of the road. thats when we slowly creeped off, back into the woods.
Finally we came to a section we recognized and decided to take a path which we were convinced would lead back to the entrance we took and to our safe escape. turns out we were wrong. where the path exited was across a river, and a closed bridge from where we wanted to be. coincidentally the closed bridge and the entrance we took were right next to eachother but from our location we had about 30 minutes of backtracking to where we wanted to be. I walked away from the group as they formulated a plan and shot a few more pictures. Most turned out with nothing but this creeped me out:

After some planning we decided to backtrack and just get the fuck out of the woods. after working our way back towards the main stairs back out we came upon a clearing by the stream. on a path parallel to a stream it sounded as if there were kids stomping, walking through and playing in the water. the water was a light trickle but occasionally it would just randomly splash like the sounds of sneakers hitting a puddle, like someone ran through the stream. in a picture i shot of the stream, theres a subtle misty fog on the lower part of the image:

in the same area i shot another picture up another path which we hadnt taken yet and werent planning on taking. This is another creepy picture. theres a small orb near the top of the railing and a figure on the path above the stairs:

The last weird pic i have to show was supposed to be a patch of shit next to pile of branches and a log jutting out pretty much right in front of me by the path. In the image the log looks as if someone splashed blue paint on it but through further investigation (a quick wtf and wipping out a light) the log was clean. i wouldnt call it the work of a ghost but maybe.. infared paint?

We finally got back to the entrance but as we reached the top of the stairs we saw a spotlight skimming across the other side of the street. deja fucking vu eh? a cop was parked in that lot and didnt look like he was in any mood to move. we sat a few steps down deciding what we were gonna do. After a couple more minutes another car came past. we hoped the cop would follow him and that would be our lucky break. Guess again. It was another one. He pulled up next to the one already sitting there and whipped his spotlight in our direction and skimmed that side of the road. we sat there deciding what to do and could here the cops talking. My friend wanted to just walk up there, get caught, insist we're not from the area and we got lost and went onto a path hoping we would find our way out. Another wanted to just walk out and admit we were ghost hunting and we didnt wanna leave empty handed. The other two of us said fuck that lets alteast try to figure another way out of here because atleast then theres a chance we wont get a ticket whereas in this case we will without a doubt. we ended up going back into the forest and following an unmarked set of stairs up to a backass entrance behind a lodge. we snuck our way through the paths and roads and patches of forest until we emerged into a huge clearing which contained 3 soccer (sorry, football) fields. We ended up escaping back to the car. I'd throw in the part about going into a cemetary with the video camera but anyone who read this far doesnt deserve to read ever again.
I was an honest to god skeptic going in but now i'm not so sure. theres no much that can explain all the random shit i heard/saw/photographed or the weird uneasy feelings i got in that park.
anyway thats my story. if you reply with somethign stupid that can be explained or a question that can be answered by something i already typed out, but you were too lazy to read, fuck off and have a miserable day. if you actually read all that, my hat is off to you....
