How do you hook up a MIDI key board to Cubase?

I have a OLD-skool Casio HT-700 synth that I want to use with Cubase. I have all the hardware (MIDI card, cables, interface, etc) but I just can't get it to work. Any ideas appreciated and thanks in advance!
