i was wondering if there was code you can write into html that would stop the pop up ads that come with free web space like yahoo. please dont flame me and saying why dont you just buy some webspace cause if you gonna say that then just move on to the next post you post whore. everybody else thanks in advance.
I don't believe so, mate Whatever you do will be overwritten by their scripts, I guess. Plus, their server must have some sort of protection against these scripts.
However, I know that if you use a redirection service, it'll overwrite the server's scripts and you'll get a different pop-up Useless, but maybe might be useful if you find a pop-up free redirection service

yeah i figured that would be the answer. i actually found a script that someone wrote that was suppose to overwrite it, but i couldnt get it to work.
I doubt it. At geocities, they append some javascript for the popup at the end of html files. So even if you remove the code manually, it will be added again automatically.
