So i have the promo of 3rd earth, and there is this one part of the song, which i think the needle was dropped on it or something which makes it keep looping on that spot, i was just wondering if there anyways to fix this.
i read about the burn through method , i havent tried backspinning yet but i will try that, if you guys know of any methods please let me know, thank you .
i hope i dont have to ditch another 8 pounds for this promo, DAMN!
Can you send it back and exchange it? If it was like that brand new, then you should be able to...

u can do the adding weight and backspinning or if you feel confident enough, take a sewing needle to the fukkered bit, which should be less damage, but i take no responsibilities for your actions
What kind of needles do you have? I know that the quality of the needle can really affect how well it holds the grooves.
Maybe try messing with your counterweight as well? I have had the same problem with a record of mine. I noticably saw my needle start to wobble when it hit that spot. I tweaked my counterweight a bit, and it still wobbled, but didn't skip, but I guess it depends on how bad the scratch is in the record.

I tried adding weight, went for more than 5 but it still made the needle jump back a lil bit to keep doing an endless loop
can you let me know what you mean by the sewing needle, what should i do with it ??

crud that blows. Lol i already said this in a post with u in it, but have you tried putting your counterweight on backwards for maximum counterweightage? If you're lucky it may just work with a quality backspin. At any rate, I'd just wait for your next paycheck from silvercity to show up. Yea it sucks to have 8 pounds down the tube and have to wait another week or whatever.

hey man you never answerd my pm! btw where in toronto are you maybe you can come and use that magic on my plastic!
Hey guys, just to let some of you know i did fix my record, thanks for all the help, iM SOO HAPPY
for those that are wondering, i just used a rough surface (rough t-shirt) to make the groove the same height so it just "passes" by the "hole" that the needle made.
