OK So I have the PCV-275 for about a year now and it works and everything is ok.
But one problem is when I take it out to parties I need to really pump it up if I want high volium, if I set it to 1DB the music is not loud enough.
Do you have this problem in your mixer as well or maybe its just my particular mixer, perhaps I need to fix it.
I'd appriciate comments on the issue.
i have that problem as well. i believe that there is a -6db cut on this mixer. I usually drive it well into the red. i use the top light +8db as sort of a clip indicator, i try not to let that light turn on at all. this gives me clear sound, and it sounds nice and loud.
Hi John
Listen I found the solution.
I Talked with the importers and they told me that the Master Output is tranferring sound at -4DB
and that the Record Output is transferring at -10DB
So theres a -6DB difference which is allot, so I just connected my mixer to the Master Output becuase I used the Record Output untill now and everything is fine.
but, there are 2 master outputs on the vestax PCV275, and no record output:
one is 1/4" TRS, and the other is RCA.
I wonder which one the "importer" was thinking was the record out.
in any case, neither is a record out, because that would either have a seperate volume control, or would be unaffected by the master level, and both are.
hey...i am upgrading my pioneer djm 300 to vestax pcv 275......i have a question though...wats send and return..on the effect knobs?

it's just basically an In and Out loop. the signal goes out of your mixer, and out into the loop, then back in. you can put an FX processor (or more than 1 if you want) there. then from the mixer, you can control the relative volume it gets sent out at, and returned at.
but without an FX processor this does nothing at all.
Youre right
Beofre I found out about the problem I had my Amp connected to the RCA output.
anyway the 1/4" TRS transmitts at -4DB and the RCA transmitts ar -10DB.
