Well, i had an awesome time tonight. The church was a really cool place, i really liked it. My friend told me that it was voted best venue of America. Is that true?
Tiesto played a great set. A lot of the trancers i was hoping for. In the middle he played some harder stuff which i didn't enjoy very much, but after that he spinned some other wicked tunes. The crowed was going crazy also. I haven't been used to a crowd that goes crazy like that, in Holland it's much more relaxed. But here the atmosphere was awesome! Especially in the end when Tiesto was giving away autographes, i thought some people were gonna faint haha, everyone was screaming and shouting. He really must have felt like a big popstar over here. When everyone had to go to the exit I told the security guy that i came all the way from Holland to see Tiesto and that I wanted to talk with him for a while. The guy looked at me if I was crazy coming all the way from Holland especially to see Tiesto so he let me stay. When Tiesto came out of his booth I talked with for a minute, that was kind of cool. He was really surprised to hear some Dutch haha.
Some additions to Mindshifter's tracklist (as fas as I can remember):
Darren Tate vs. Michael Koglin - Waiting (the crowd went nuts!!)
Solar Stone vs Sirocco - Destination (my highligh of the evening)
Rank1 - Breathing
GTR - Mistral
Solar Factor - Urban Shakedown
instead of Midway - Inca he played Midway - Amazon
also, he didn't play a remix of ten, but that was Dj Tiësto - Faithfulness
and did he play forever waiting?? He haven't heard that one. Could be a was at the bathroom, but i was there for only like 2 minutes or so.
If I remember more i will post it here.
Does anyone know the song Tiesto dropped around 12:45?? The crowd went totally nuts. I hadn't heard that song before, so maybe it's a new production??

That was an awesome night, you guys already listed what I remembered though. Holy shit, the crowd wasn't even that nuts for Sasha! Shit, I had sweat beads going down my face all night, that rocked.
We definitely have to do some more spinning sometime, you guys gotta get some practice! Plus I left my mixer power cable and headphones at Anthony's, so I can't do shit... |
LOL, yeah i talked to him today, he said you shoulda just left everything there! He then proceeded to tell me that he likes it better when your equipment is at his place and not yours!!!
Anyways, yeah we need the practice like its goin outta style!!! We are terrible!! You on the other hand are good, so thats cool.

"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge

I was a bit surprised by how the night went. Noel Sanger was pretty decent, he is a pretty entertaining guy to watch (although Ferry tops them all! ). Although I do have to say that I was slightly disappointed by Tiesto's set... it was very inconsistent, although he did throw down some great songs. His mixing was average, but what irked me the most was how incredibly short his set was. It was like barely 2 hours! WTF is that? Anyways... guess I've just been spoiled with east coast clubs, btw, was my first time at The Church. When I saw him last October, I thought he threw down a better set... but that's just me.
Ooh, and I didn't realize how great Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes was until I heard Tiesto drop it (although I'm still bitter he didn't play Andain - Beautiful Things (G&D Remix)). It was also nice to hear Rank 1 - Breathing (Airwave 2003) [Breaks Mix], mint tune. I have to agree with the crowd, everyone was so rallied up and excited, it was pretty entertaining. Also hearing The Roc Project - Never (Tiesto Remix) wasn't as awe-inspiring as I would have liked... but oh well.
One more thing, I managed to get some video/audio clips from the night of songs I wasn't able to ID that I really liked (and some great crowd reactions (ie. GTR - Mistral))... I've got slow-ass dialup, but when I get the time/bandwidth to upload these videos to a server, I'll let you guys know.

Could have sworn it was the Breaks mix... it definitely isn't the original mix, cause it has a breaks b-line, the 1 2 33 4 structure... maybe it was some other mix? Who knows, I've actually only heard the breaks mix once, so I was assuming it was the breaks mix because of the structure, but who knows?
Anyways, The Church is an okay club. I've never been anywhere else in Colorado, but I'd say they could use a few more special effects... the lighting is a bit... gloomy to say the least. Add lasers, and maybe a few more spotlights and a more complex rotation pattern, make it a bit better... maybe a true mist machine like they have at Exit
I have a total of 8 clips from the night, I managed to get 5 of the tracks down, I still have 3 left. Here's what I've got (in chronological order from the night):
1.) The Roc Project feat. Tina Arena - Never (Tiesto Remix)
2.) Midway - Amazon
3.) Something
4.) Something
5.) Darren Tate vs. Mike Koglin Present Cota - Waiting
6.) Rank 1 - Breathing (??? Mix)
7.) GTR - Mistral <-- Crowd is amazing here!
8.) Encore???
