great mix, really enjoyed it! the only problem is maybe the series of transitions between stealing beauty, live another life and here comes the rain.. harmonically speaking that is. but overall it's very well done!

one question, though.. where did u get epic and sleeping satellites?

All my favourite tunes of the moment are in here...
And rather well done as well
Sometimes in your mixing though you didn't lower the bass enough to stop the kicks fading away
Lovely set though, this one's going straight on cd and into my TA collection...

Sleeping Satellites is at Chemical, a promo of course, I can't wait til this baby comes in.(Check my thread in the music discussion Upcoming Releases Epic is not even released yet, hence the MP3 mix this is. I started the d/l before I left for work today, I look foreward to hearing it when I get home. These kind of mixes make me want a CD-deck sooooo bad it furiates me.

peace,

Steve

thanks guys for ur complaments, hope you enjoyed the mix overall.

I used 2x 1210's and a CDJ1000 to do my mix, none of the tunes are mp3 rips all from direct promo cdr as you should notice in the quality of;
Afterburn - Summersun (Original Mix)
Firewall - Sincere (Original Mix)
Rusch & Murray- Epic (Above & Beyond Remix)
Mystery - Feel For You (Original Mix)

I cant tell you where i got Epic or new Mystery from buy Epic is first version and i think they are changing a few bits in it.

There is a key clash in the transitious from Plasticboy to NRC i really think i should have redone the mix, but oh well
and the reason i kept the bass in for a while is if u listen to the mix on a loud system with big bass it sounds like a much better transition as the bass is not faded out so quick, i did listen to this on a club setup and it sounded fine

cheers Matt

hey there
just started listening
and i will write as i go through the mix..
(btw, this review comes from a proghead's prespective)

nice groove right from the start...
the vocal gives a good feel,,,
im starting to enjoy this
oh, i forgot to say that i havent heard any of these tracks before.

first mix - pretty good, could have been better imo if u would have left the high eq open for longer

but the set lost its groove in this mix.....
well, it didnt lose it, it switched it for a more trancey groove...

i dont like this avb tune,,,it sounds ameture (especially if compared to yet another day)

second mix - much better, absolutely fluent transmission.

this afterburn isnt intresting though

third mix - same as second,

i like this condor track.....nice vocal

the forth mix - doesnt fit harmonically, the bass is on a diffrent key then on the condor track therefor this mix sounds ameture...sorry

the fifth mix - nice, but i think it could have been better, not sure how, maybe it should have been longer, like untill the melody kicks in

the six mix - ok, nothing special

the seventh mix - im sorry to say this, but its awfull, especially harmonically speaking, down right awfull

the 9th mix - too short and harmonically bad

whats wrong with you? the set started so nice......

again, sorry for being harsh...

one thing though.....this aurora track is beautiful

the tenth mix - now were talking!! back in track......nice mix m8

the eleventh mix was fluent and nice, i didnt even notice it, great work on this one

overall, an ok set except for one thing: the first track has absolutely nothing to do with this set, and if u intend to send it to clubs, then u will just decieve the person who's getting the set and maybe even ruin your chance.

Thumbs up

Awesome trackliting, very well done on the mixing, very Ferry Corstenish kinda playlist, that's what I like!! I swear it's really hard to tell if it's indeed a professional studio recorded album or just an amateur mix! Woohoo!
Keep it up!
