Whats up bro... thats cool that Suzy and you hit Colombia, I didn't know that ppl over there were into trance or electronic music in general. Well then again, thats the capital, so its a bit more advanced and open than the other cities and towns.
But I have to ask... How did you guys get around? Do you or Suzy speak spanish?
Best Regards,
Ricky |
Hey Ricky,
Nice to hear from you. Suzy and I both speak a little Spanish but we are not fluent. When we travel down there, we usually travel with our road manager Javier. Upon arrival to Colombia, we are greeted by a driver who is usually assigned to us for the trip. Suzy wrote about this trip in her road diary, so I am going to add the link so you can see it from her point of view. http://suzysolar.com/new/diary.html#bogota
Her diary from Medellin, Colombia and Panama are also on that page as well. I hope you enjoy.
Peace,
Brian

Hey Brian,
Cool stuff, I checked out the diary stories and crazy trip you guys had, especially the one to Bogota.
Im amazed how there were so many spots over in Colombia that were playing House and Trance... for some reason, I thought that not many ppl were into house and trance, but i guessed wrong.
Reason I mentioned is cause my gf is colombian and i know her family and stuff, and they dont have a clue about the music I like, and what I spin, etc... and most other Colombians here in the States that Ive met, usually arent into that music. But it sure is a different world over there, hehe.
Another thing that surprised me was how you found some traces of other cultures over there, like the german hotel and arabic food. Overall, sounded like a fun trip! Ill be sure to keep updated on the site to read up on the adventures.
Peace,
Ricky

WOW That's great news !
Bogota Rules!
Lots of people in Bogota listen to Electonic music, let me put it this way the same amount of people that listen to rap in USA listen to techno , trance etc.. in the beautiful Bogota Col .
When you get to Bogota tell everyone that you love Millonarios the soccer team !
Ohh my god I miss you much Bogota !
I hope someday I can go and spinn there ! You are a really lucky person and I'm happy for you maybe someday Will be me !
