Quick Fruity Loops Question (Simple Answer, Im Sure..)

Just got the program about a week ago, and I'm wondering how you do a volume ramp (where an instrument goes from quieter to louder of a period of time).

thanks

just a thought, you might want to try in the production forum.. probably get a better response there.

go into the piano roll of the selected sample
and in the box at the bottom with the green line
then simply right or left click and drag it into
a ramp shape

Is there a cleaner way to accomplish the same thing?

I'm trying to have a roll escalate in sound..

in piano roll u'll see the bottom section and it should be set on 'velocity' those are the levels at which the events u set (the notes) will play, drag it down for quiter and up for louder.. its kinda pain in the ass but i don't kno any other way to control crescendos

There is a feature called Automation...if you right click on the knob or slider you want to move a box will appear with "edit automation" click on that and where the volume change will take effect say bar 3 draw a line to how much you want to automate it and it should work...if you look on the playlist on track 10 i think should be something about automation, thatz what im talking about. If you have anymore problems dont hesitate to pm me...if need be i will try an dwrite a tutorial...

hope that helped,

tezz
