I think I would go with the McAfee one over an online one anyday. My friend recently got hit with a virus and used an online scanner...found a virus that infected every .exe file he had and attempted to repair it...days later his computer was in a constant reboot cycle and had to format. He lost 40 gigs and a shitload of classic trance (yes, I sent it all to him lol). |
1. try NORTON antivirus. sooo good.
2. that virus youre talkng about , i just got rid of it on MY comp.
called i.worm.stator32 , affects most .exe files. I coouldnt start most of my programs. dont use the autofix.
in my case i got this message "loadpe.com caused an error in "
the REAL loadpe.com file is a system file. VERY important....
well the virus i got tookt the file and it renamed and changed around my system files. to fix the one loadpe.com file i went into my computers registry editor (goto run and type in regedit and open it.)after that you go to a certain spot and type in a string to replace the edited one. IF YOU HAVE THIS EXACT PROBLEM, PM me for the instructions. if you dont have the exact problem contact a PROFESSIONAL , i am NOT responsible if you screw up your computer....sorry....
