Hey gals n guys, im in serious need of sound effects and atmosphere...i do the trick of making everything reeverby but i need sound effects and atmosphere. the sort of effects i am looking for are like the one used in gouryella - ligaya (The massive long rezzed swoosh before the break). as for atmosphere i dont really know about but the main things is the effects tho...anyone got tips on where to download effects or even know software to make my own?

try starting off very simple, with a couple oscillators and tweak it until you find the right sound. i've discovered a good method is to mix 2 oscillators, set the first to the "white noise" waveform and the second to a "sawtooth" or "triangle" waveform. the "white noise" oscillator will create the swooshing sound and the second oscillator will add tone to the sound. one of the best soft synths i've found for stuff like this is sim synth 2.7, you can do a search and d/l it for free. try it out, and remember: tweak tweak tweak them knobs!

DJ-Dank-Poo: The information was brilliant and the help of the malstrom worked a treat, i came up with some spacey / swooshy noises which i will be putting into my new remix so i hope it turns out good.
