I NEED HELP ! Djs

First of all lasT week I wanted to burn my turntables yesterday I almost trow them up the window maybe today I try to run over them with me car anyway I started spinning like a 2 weeks ago and I used to use the BPM until someone told me not to, and gave me some good reasons not to use it .
I need you guys to let me and to answer my questions Please .
When I'm beatmaching I mean trying to beatmatch because I'm pretty bad at it sometimes I get a perfect beatmatch but as soon as I start bringing the song in, the tempo changes and it sounds horrible, I mean sometimes I get the two record on a perfect beatmatch but is just for like 10 secs, Is that normal? or Am I making some mistake ?
How come some DJs can keep to songs on a perfect beatmach for more 40 sec . I practice 2-3 hours every single day and I haven't gotten the beatmatch , SO please help me !!!

I need advices from you guys,

I'm sorry for the gramma mistakes !

My god you've started 2 weeks ago. I've been doing it for 6-7 months now and just now I can start to listen to my own sets without getting some sort of puke-feeling. Serieus if you're having troubles staying calm now than I think I should thell you this goes on for about another 3-4 months

1)If the beats are only together for 10 seconds the 2 songs are not beatmatched. Erogo - the beats aren't at the exact same speed.

2)It is normal to suck when you start. Everyone sucks when they start.

3)How can DJ's match songs perfect? Its called hundreds and thousands of hours of practice and performance. Say you started spinning 14 days ago like you said and say you average 2.5 hrs a day. 14 x 2.5 = 35 hrs of total DJ experience. Now take a DJ that has been into it for a year averaging 1.5 hr. a day. 356 x 1.5 = 534 hrs of experience. Plus you do more mixing per time you spend as you get better because you learn to beatmatch faster. So the 1 year DJ is probably doing 2-3 mixes per the time it takes for you to do one mix.

I think you get what i'm saying. Keep practicing. It's normal to get frustrated. There is a reason everyone isn't a DJ. It takes time and dedication.

keep at it!

try recording yourself to see if you can spot any mistakes you make whilst mixing as well!

you may have them matched for 10 seconds after a while youll learn to make adjustments to the pitch before/during/after your mix!

with practice youll learn what songs starting to drift and youll be able to rectify it with the pitch slider!

hey 10 secs is better than nothing right? if youre still having trouble beatmatching then dont do anything else during a song just yet. when a songs playing just beatmatch for a long time in the cue meaning...just dont play a song, beatmatch the second song for 10 secs in your headphones, and then go get a cup of coffee... just keep at it. really listen carefully when the songs are playing and just keep tweaking until its time to bring it in. then you will soon find that you r mixes will get better. then after that you will find that youre having to tweak less and less : )

also from the beginning tracks are like babies...you cant leave them alone for 10 secs and expect them to behave... so keep listening, keep watching, dont take your eyes ...and ears... off of them.

its alot of practice. thats what i did, its been about 10 monts for me and im just lately getting into doing different things. take it slow, start beatmatching and make sure you have it down before you start messing with other things because like a the rails of a train track, the train will wreck if the rails arent strong enough...or crooked

keep practicing. be patient, it only gets worse when you get pissed off.

take my global dj broadcast competition cd for example. i messed up about 15 times in the FIRST mix and had to start over alot becuase my pitch fader was bent and i didnt let myself blame the equipment. by that time when i pitched it up and got out of the bent part, it was fine but my mood wasnt so the cd wasnt as good as it could have been.

all the work pays off trust me

I'm a beginner also

Here's what I do:

After each mix what I usually do is quickly select the next tune. Start beatmatching as soon as possible, beatmatch the cue track as long as possible until the tune playing is going into a breakdown. I'll start beatmatching again as soon as the tune playing is going again. I do trial and error to insure the track is beatmatched

Most of the time the tune would be matched (for me). Like someone mention, you'll learn how to adjust after awhile

Again pratice is the key..........

I feel like I could beatmatch better if I get the tracks phase-matched also. Anyone else feel the same way? Is it a bad thing?

already some good advice mentioned...

When I first started,,, one of the things that threw me off the most was touching the record. Try using only the pitch control for beat matching. Technincs tables are so accurate that you should be able to hear the beat slow down to the point where it is behind the beat you're trying to match,,, same with seepding it up. Not sure if that made any sense,,, but hope it helped.

i say ,
STOP FINGER FUCKING YOUR RECORDS!!!
force of habit, i dont believe there ever is a real beat match. only matching together two great songs is the only way to make it sound half decent. and stop striving to be perfect, because its only gonna cause you to get frustarated and lose the tempo even worse. thats when you start slowing it down and speeding it up, when really most people cant tell at a club because the sound is a lot louder making the mixes seem not as noticeable. what i'm saying is it sounds different than your stereo system at home SO DONT TRY TO BE PERFECT.
and NEVER NEVER compare yourself to other DJs. we all learn at our own pace and we all have our own styles. Tape that BPM counter up and dont ever use it again until you are sure that you are ready to start tweeking with the effects. if its a DJM600 or 500. dont let nobody tell younto do it this way of that, and just dont give up if you rally long to become a DJ.
Good Luck...
Justin

only 2 weeks!
you are going to feel frustrated for about another 6 months, provided you practice at LEAST an hour a day..but everyone is different, but it does take about that time. i practice at least an hour a day, many days more. it took me about 6 months to really beatmatch ok. i'm still working on it.
just be patient and keep reminding yourself to pay attention to the music, that's what you're doing it for. you're not doing it so you can get perfection in a short amount of time.
just keep it up, you will get it.
one more thing..it takes maybe a couple of months before your ears will become trained and you will be able to really distinguish the two beats, and be able to tell if you have a true beatmatch going or not. (this is not the same thing as being able to tell what bpm you should make your next track).
keep going, don't expect anything for long time. but it will be worth it!
