Midi Problems !

This might be a really stupid question for most of you but I really need your help guys !
Last night I finally bought a MIDI interface I pluged to my comp and I was really happy until I decided to start working on the drums, (my keyboard has really nice drums samples) so I was going to put some drum samples from my keyboard into Sonar 2.1 XL and the sound I got wasn't the drums it was just a simple piano, so my question is >>>
How can a transfer the sounds I make in my keyboard into my Computer (Sonar 2.1 XL)

Hey There!

i guess your problem is that the midichanal is using your default midi device (that horrible MS bank(MS GS WAVETABLE))! - but since i use logic i can't tell you 100 % how to change the midi device in sonar (but guess it's kinda in the same way) click on the midi chanal and you should have some chanal-options somewhere (usually to the left in the arrange window) in sonar and you need to change the midi device to your midi-interface instead of the MS GS WAVETABLE!

guess that should do it for ya!
