Need some help.

Whenever I try to add the absynth under instruments in cubase... It loads but it doesnt play sound. I tried changing midi settings and ect but its still does the same thing. It shows like its playing in the input on cubase.. But it doesnt play sound.

Anyone know how to fix this problem? Let me know.

I don't know what Cubase you are using: SX?
If so, you have to make a new track for the Absynth VST. Then click in the left of the screen on Output. There you should select the Absynth VST. If you have correctly entered your sound card settings/drivers, the Absynth should produce sound now.
Also make sure you have the Absynth Engine up and running!

Also, I think Absynth listens on channel 1 (at least by default), so make sure the track that you are routing to absynth is set to channel 1.

No, Absynth can be used on any channel. It doesn't matter whether this is channel 1 or 8 for instance.

Awsome. Thanks alot guys. Works perfect now. Just had to switch the VST Multitrack to DirectX Full Duplex to fix the delay, that was the only other problem I was having.

Question, show the Disk Buffer Size be at 128 or 256?

As small as possible without hearing artifacts. That's a matter of trial and error though.

What soundcard you have? Because usually the Directx driver is not the best to use in Cubase. If you have an Asio driver prefer it to the others.

I have a SB Live.. D000.

What else would be good besides dir x?
