Worse? Who said anything about worse?
Having less bass isn't necessarily bad. The original 1200's have quite some bass, some people like it, some don't. You can't really say the 1200's have a linear response (which is in fact the ideal response, but doesn't sound good for everyone, like for example hifi or audiophile equipment is rarely linear). The 1210's are more linear. They have less power in the bass, so overal they sound more even. But some people still prefer the original sound, with the silver looks (somehow I've found the dj business more to be a fashion business more than quality audio, I'm sorry to say).
A worse response would be that it can handle less frequencies, which isn't the case. 1210's can go as high or as deep as the original ones, the bass just isn't as overpowering.

Given that I'm going to be using these headphones for everything, including gaming, bedroom djing, and just chilling at home and listening, I guess I'll opt for more bass =)
