!!!Question about Headphones!!!

What are the best DJ Headphones?

The thing is i'm cueing the incoming song with my right ear, and after a while my ear gets tired and I can't cue anymore cause i dont hear if the tempo is matched or not.

So what are the best headphones that will not abuse my ear...

Thanx alot.

your ears hurt because it's too loud. the quieter the better, for your ears anyway, or they will get fatigued.

but of course if it's too quiet you won't be able to hear the cue over top of the monitors. the solution is not to get louder headphones, it's to get headphones that block out sound better.

the Sennheiser HD-280pros do this very well, the block out approx -32db of sound, which afaik is more than any other DJ can out there.

seriously, i can barely tell my lawnmower is on with these baby's!

this allows me to have the headphones quiet, which in the short term prevents ear fatigue, but more importantly in the long term prevents permanent hearing damage.

i have to second john smith on this one..

i also have the hd-280 pros and they are unvelievable. They block out so much noise that you can keep the headphone volume at a very healthy level in practically all situations. They are a little pricy at $120(after shipping+tax) but well worth every penny.

I'm looking at getting a new pair next week, but I'm not sure which to go for:

Sennheiser HD280's for £75
Technics DJ1210's for £99
Pioneer HDJ1000's for £129

I'll be using them for both djing and music production, but I dont know what to go for

sennheiser HD250 are great, but the best for under 100 would probably be sony MDR-v6. and i also hear those ones that Dj tiesto uses are good too
