ok, korea review

what a great experience!

i never been to overseas before so i didnt know what to expect. ive done central america and canada but thats it.

the flight was interesting, i never lost the daylite (mo sunset) but i lost a complete day during the flight. we went thru northern canada, alaska & russia, really nice site.

the hotel room had a beautiful view of the river (i forget the name) and this long bridge.

the traffic was by far the worst ive ever seen in my life! i cant belive how bad it was! no matter what time of the day or night it was, there was bumper to bumper gridlock. that was a bit of a downer but it didnt interfere with the fun i was having.

the food was really cool, i liked their sliced beef. they served their food in several dishes, all types of things, from seafood to spinach etc. i liked the multiple choices.

seoul happens to be a very high tech city, i wasnt expecting it. they also seem to have alot of money. people r very weathly there. most of their cars run on propane gas! that was cool! seems like regular gasoline is very very expensive....

my friday show was fun but it didnt seem too successful. the production was very good but the sound didnt fit the room, it was way too low but thats ok, saturday made up for it. it wasnt bad, we still had a great time and there was unlimited beer.

on saturday i played at a small club, the turn out was decent, coulda used a few more people but the reaction was great. Danny Taylor from Viva in Vancouver opened for me and did an incredible job. i followed thru with a set and i must say im very hapy with it. the vibe was great and it was surely an experience ill remember always:

heres some tracks i played:

paul van dyk - time of our lives
tube tech - the end
jamX - warriors
jose amnesia - eternal (thomas datt remix)
motorcycle - as the rush comes (a handful of peole sang along to this!)
thomas datt - 2v2
donald & giles - weekend
signum - push through
igor s - boomerang
triple concept - tonetwister
jaron inc - overflow
azzido dabass - dooms night 9 (jamx & deleon remix)
agnelli & nelson - vegas (fear & loathing mix)
dogzilla - dogzilla (mistress barbara mix)
rapid eye - circa forever
binary finary - 1998 (ronski speed mix)
sensation - the anthem (igor s remix)
pulser - my religion
nu nrg - butterfly

i have the staurday set on mini disc, as soon as i find someone with an md player, i can transfer it over to cd and fire it out! if anyone has one please let me know!

see u this saturday for arc and my afterparty

Yours truly

I'm glad you had a great experience there. Yea, in a typical Korean meal there are a bunch of little side dishes called "bahn-chahn." Naively enough, when I visited Korea a few years back I didn't know that it had been exposed to trance and so I didn't get to experience any of the good parties. I wish I could of been there to see you spin Vic. I'm sure it's a totally different vibe and experience than in nyc.

I truly miss visiting the motherland... I'm glad you could enjoy our culture.

FYI... it was the Han River, but don't recall the bridge.

People aren't rich, just the technology is cheap there (Won to the dollar ratio and all that financial jargon).

If you want some more of the food, hit up 32nd St and Broadway or Flushing.
