I used to, my account is still active. I only played on Great Lakes when I did.

Anyone play on private shards?

i cant ever decide which one was the worst blasphemy to the god-like ultima series... online, 8, or 9. all of them SUCK ASS compared to the rest of the series and shouldnt ever have had the name ultima attached to them.

I disagree.. ultima = quite possibly greatest MMOG ever.. and the first aswell

you should. ultima is the greatest series of all time... are actually CHALLENGING, and just fucking great. i dont really play any PC rpgs anymore because the quality has degraded so much, its pathetic. ultima still is the way to go.

against my better judgement (considering the graphics/gameplay are identical to ultima 8, which basically all ultima fans say was the first game to be a blasphemy to the series), i did try ultima online for about 2 weeks. i then promptly stopped. then again, i hate all mmorpgs. i think they are utterly useless (except to take your money from you) and have no point at all.

for someone who has never experienced a REAL ultima game, maybe online was good, as a mmorpg.. but as an *ultima*, it is a tumor that needs to be removed :/

I used to love UO, played on many a private shard and have been a GM on many but never played on the Pay-shards. I've also hosted many of my own shards, but it starts to get to you when shitloads of people beg to be GM's.

anyone here kstill play ultima or have an account? Anyone know if its worth it to play again, are the shards still filled withg people? IM thinking of going back..if so which would be the best shard.

I used to play on the Atlantic shard, but a lot of people I knew on UO stopped playing lol..
