[yelling]I just want to say now once and for all that there's quite a big difference between a useless thread and someone wanting to fall in love with the same thing you've fallen for!!!!!! For fucks sake when you see a thread titled 'favorite song' or something like that then don't fucking click on it if it pisses you off so much. If you are so compelled to click on it anyway you may notice that the person who started the thread has like 5 or 10 posts to his name. Did any of you not feel good when you posted your first thread like this and 10 or 15 people responded with amazing songs? Many of which you hadn't heard before? Because that's how I felt!!!!!! Give someone a break if they just joined the site a few days ago and are not psychic. I'd rather see people boosting there post count by giving a newbie some good songs to download then a lot of the other shit I've seen (ie. two person conversations) and probably done myself. Is it really that difficult? sorry for wasting your time.[/yelling]
In my opinion, that is all a pile of crap. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there was one time at least 4 threads like "Fav Tune" open at one time, and they were all newbies. OPEN YOUR EYES and check and see if there are any open threads already, because otherwise that's just laziness and ignorance.
It's just as easy to look or search for existing threads, as it is to not click on a "Fav Tune" thread.
So I'm sorry, I disagree with you.

you are kinda both right and wrong in my opinion. if there's one already open which is fairly new then it is pointless opening another one. thing is, 'fave tune' is something which changes like, every week, and nobody likes going through old posts anyway. maybe there are too many posts about fave tunes, but you can't get rid of it completely and you can't get pissed off at someone every time they post it.
just my opinion; neither one of you is fully right or wrong.
Anyways, stay happy, put some trance on!

Personally I don't mind the fav tune threads.
Like Trance Outlaw said, it gives a lot of ppl new track titles and artists to go look for.
Red and I have found quite a few amazing tracks that way.
Not everyone knows every trance track ever made.
And with new tracks being released all the time, again not everyone knows what they are and of course as said before fav tunes change from week to week cos of the new releases.
However having like 4 fav tunes threads on the go at one time is too much.
So maybe have a "sticky Thread" once a month for this purpose.
say in Music discussion, Swamper makes a sticky thread called for example
"Fav Tunes of July "
Then everyone can post in there.( but not 100's of times, maybe post in there once a week so as not to make 100's of pages to read thru )
then next month a new thread and so on and so on . . .
Perhaps a thread like that once a month would stop all the many threads on the same subject plus Newbies would not have to search for it cos its Right at the top of the thread list . . . .
(going to post this too in site suggestions so Swamper can have a think over it )
Lol, with you using red letters and your girlfriend named red u can't blame the man jk..
And on this threads subject i think that asking newbie questions is absolutely ok. But when they start to act stupid and ask questions and make threads where the answers is right in front of them it's not ok at all. Fav threads are ok once in while. I'm a big fan of "fav tunes of the week" and that type. There are realeased so many tunes so often that getting them all is quite difficult..

Exactly right! I think they both use red letters actually...Way too confusing!
