I hear a lot of folk are not happy at all with all this Steam business. Stuff about WON ID's being totally wiped out... and that 1.5 will be all gone very soon indeed. I was gutted last night to find all my fave UK2 servers pretty much empty I dont know where all my friends have gone!!

I am confused by all this Steam shit so i think we have to make the most of 1.5 while we still have it... also if you get 1.6 as a FULL GAME (which it is) 1.5 has to be scrapped! I heard there are more bugs in this game and all sorts of shite!!!

Check out message boards and see how everyone has been reacting. STEAM HAS KILLED CS THEY CRY!!!

imo steam sucked since day one, then this came out and now it sucks even more, complete corporate greed. I wouldnt mind paying for mods, but not when they are in alpha, beta, pre-gold, etc stage

played my first two round just now & those shields are damn annoying for t's

...nice you can now alt+tab without losing your sound in opengl tho

My thought on this Steam thingy from the start was,its going suck donkey balls in someway and i cant say i was wrong either.

Pretty funny that they didnt even gave the thought on the bandwidth problem when they started to build the program , but hey mayby they thought there 512 kbits connection would do for worlds most played game ever and what would happen when everyone at a sametime would get the update downloaded, the game is played by millions ffs.

1.6 is wank. although with every new relase people flame it to fuck until they get used to it. steam's really really good when you finally manage to get it up and running. But what was wrong with WON in the 1st place?

Bleh, I gave up on Counterstrike long before 1.6 came out. This 'Steam' nonsense has put me off ever playing it again, which is probably a shame.

Steam is so piss. Its full of bugs and problems, but i think steam are updating it again soon to iron out must of the bugs in it.

The main problem is the traffic, when a new release of cs or hl is out, steam will download it via its own browser thing, and so will 1000000 of other people. When 1.6 first came out it was impossible to download

thank fook they brought out there own tradional installer.

Cs 1.6 is still beta lol, final is out on oct 23rd i think.

CS is crap now, the shield sux, fps suck, hitboxes are messed up and its just crap with all the noobs playing it now.

bring back 1.3 !!
